Now in its fourth decade, Sale e Pepe has survived the test of time due to its loyal clientele and fans from overseas.
Local residents, shoppers, overseas visitors and businesses delight in the warm welcome of the friendly staff, who haven’t changed much over the years. The restaurant provides authentic Italian food in elegant surroundings with a great atmosphere.
The restaurant started off out of two shopfronts in Pavilion Road extending in 1985 into the premises of a launderette in the same street. This provided a generous sized bar and waiting area for the restaurant.
The ethos of the restaurant is to provide great food and wonderful service at reasonable prices.
The food is traditional Italian cuisine using high quality ingredients and a reminder of the best dishes you would find in Italy.
At the Sale e Pepe, we like to offer all your favourite dishes together with our daily specials. We are renowned for our fresh Dover Sole, calves liver and veal chop, but the pasta dishes are to be highly recommended.
